Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Project Manager Assistant to assist the project manager in overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure the PM is scheduled, organized, and prepared for all tasks. This assistant will report to a single PM as their personal assistant. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a thorough understanding of construction processes.
Duties
- Assist project managers in coordinating mixed-use and commercial construction projects from initiation to completion, focusing on civil.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
- Help manage and track project schedules, timelines, and deliverables using project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).
- Maintain and apply for the Miss Utility across sites.
- Assist in permit applications and meetings associated with localities for site approval.
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, permits, and safety records.
- Assist in the coordination of Utility applications and designs
- Assist the Project Manager in their daily/weekly scheduling
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements on site.
- Visit sites to report project updates for the project manager, reporting any issues or delays back..
- Assist the Project Manager in inspecting and coordinating the maintenance of E&S measures on site.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Experience in budgeting for construction projects, ensuring financial accountability.
- Knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with quality control processes in a construction environment.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of construction experience, focusing on civil..
- Strong understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in excel, word, and email.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
