Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of health conditions across the lifespan.
- Administer medications and perform procedures such as injections and IV infusions as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records using Athenahealth or similar electronic health record systems.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide education and counseling to patients regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Perform diagnostic tests including medical imaging and sonography when necessary.
- Address behavioral health concerns through appropriate interventions or referrals.
- Uphold aseptic techniques in all procedures to ensure patient safety.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner with an active state license.
- Strong knowledge of primary care practices and principles.
- Experience with medical records management and documentation standards.
- Proficiency in medication administration, including experience administering injections.
- Familiarity with behavioral health practices is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform medical imaging and sonography is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
