What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech (Concrete Pump) position at Thomas Concrete Machinery?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair and Maintain equipment based on Level 3 (Boom Pumps)
Boom Pumps
- Work in Efficient manner minimizing cost to our customers
- Direct Communication with Service Team
- Provide Training for lower-level mechanics as called upon
- Input data into SAP/Data Base and CoAdvantage for data base tracking
- Control and Maintain Tools and equipment
- Execute safety first attitude.
- Verify and document parts required to complete repairs
- Assure parts and labor are recorded accurately to properly invoice
- Work with service team to schedule repairs
- Maintain area housekeeping. Such as sweeping, throwing out the trash, cleaning as needed
- Stock parts in the appropriate bin locations.
- Use CoAdvantage properly (Time management)
- Work to develop cost effective solutions for customers.
- Understand various parts catalogs for the suppliers we represent
- Utilize parts catalogs.
- Complete In-Service Calls including appropriate repairs and customer service.
- Work to provide OEM level service and parts
- Communicate with both managers to assure flow of information (Assure scheduling is understood by both mangers).
- Branch Manager is priority manager
- Keep equipment assigned in clean and working order.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent is recommended
- Exhibits TCM’s Core Values. (Team Player, Responsible, Respectful and Does what is right)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Proficient (MS Office – Word, and Outlook with preferred knowledge of SAP or similar database.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently safely and successfully with the OSHA and other quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistently
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
90 Day Objectives:
- 80% Billable Rate – With Accurate SAP invoice rates
- Documentation accuracy to coordinate with client and TCM expectation
- Perform In-Service for all equipment (accessible while on call) and appropriate review results (work to assure the customer feels service is NOT rushed.
