Kitchen Assistant
Boise, Idaho
We are hiring Kitchen Assistants for Micron's corporate dining!
The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for the direction and guidance in collaboration with the Chef Manager and Food Services Manager for the overall production of food to include: implementation of systematic production methods, standardized recipes, portion control, menu development, and purchasing requirements. Carrying out assigned responsibilities, the Kitchen Assistant must comply with all client policies and regulatory agencies at Micron.
$15 /hour; differential pay for weekends and nights; full benefits and more!
Full-Time; days vary, including weekends
Shifts: 10am-6pm or 2pm-10pm
Responsibilities:
- Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers and team members
- Maintain company uniform & dress codes.
- Follow directions from Sous Chef, Executive Chef, or Food Services Manager regarding other related duties.
- Maintain strict following of recipes or processes for all food production & products.
- Able to work all classifications, stations & kitchen departments; other areas may be required.
- Cleans & wipes down tables. Maintains clean serving areas before & after each assignment.
- Meets attendance guidelines, adheres to regulatory company/departmental policies & procedures.
Requirements:
- Food safety training is required within 6 months of hire.
- Proficient in verbal and written English language.
- Must have the ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly.
- Must be able to self-motivate and have time management skills.
- Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean.
- Reports to work on time and as scheduled.
- Works at maintaining a good rapport and cooperative working relationship with all departments, and staff
- Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
- Follow café guidelines concerning guest services, food, and physical safety, maintenance, and equipment/space cleaning requirements at all times
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift 50 pounds.
