Your Impact 

The Patient Service Team Member is directly responsible for the patient dining experience by taking a patient’s order at their bedside, guiding the patient in selecting their meal from a restaurant-style menu, and personalizing the delivery of meals to guests throughout the hospital. The primary focus is to form relationships with patients and care providers in order to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction. A professional image both in appearance and attitude in every guest interaction is the standard. The Patient Services Team Member has solid knowledge of all diets and exhibits a strong sense of urgency to ensure the timely, expedient, and accurate delivery of meals to our patients. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Delivers patient trays during meal service and delivers snacks or proper nourishment to patients. 
• Informs patients of the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department and may obtain food preferences from patients and/or family members. 
• Ensures accuracy of food items being delivered to the patient and informs the patient of meal selection and any therapeutic diet information. 
• Inventories and restocks goods and supplies to proper levels. 
• Ensures prompt response to a request for service and follows up if delays or other problems are identified. 
• Maintains the privacy, safety, and dignity of each customer by observing client confidentiality and by strictly adhering to safety and sanitation standards. 
• Provides excellent customer service and maintains a positive attitude towards clients, customers, co-workers, hospital staff, etc. 
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager.

Wage range: $16 depending on Experience.

Availability: 10:30am-7pm 5 days/week with alternating weekends

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Experience and Food Handlers Card required.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Required.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods. 
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. 
• ServSafe or State Food Handlers card required. 
• Experience in foodservice, as a dietary clerk, or in a related field preferred. 
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. 
• Requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. 
• Must have a positive attitude.
