Schedule: Support Patients, Support Yourself – Flexible 12-Hour Rotations
12h shifts, in 2 week rotations of 3 days on/4 days off, then 4 days on/3 days off.
Location: Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis, OR.

Your Impact:
The Unit Host is directly responsible for the patient dining experience by taking a patient’s order at their bedside, guiding the patient in selecting their meal from a restaurant-style menu, and personalizing the delivery of meals to patients throughout the hospital. The primary focus is to form relationships with patients and care providers in order to maintain high levels of patient satisfaction. A professional image in appearance and attitude in every guest interaction is the standard. The Unit Host is trained to have a solid knowledge of all diets and exhibits a strong sense of urgency to ensure the timely, expedient, and accurate delivery of meals to our patients. These shifts are 12-h, working alongside patient care teams, dieticians, cooks and chefs.
Job Specific Duties
- Assembling and delivering patient trays in the hospital.
- Bending, standing, lifting, walking, pushing and/or pulling carts.
- Communication with both cooks and other unit hosts in regards to meal service and needs.
- Maintaining a clean work space.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will need
- High School Diploma/GED
- Successful candidates must meet eligibility criteria, including the ability to undergo and successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen in accordance with applicable State laws and regulations.
