Position Summary
The Bakery Production II position is a baker that prepares and presents consistent and great tasting made-from-scratch baked goods according to our recipes and standards by maintaining the highest sanitation and safety standards every day. Within this Bakery Production II position you must be able to measure and mix ingredients, operate commercial bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, proof box, slicer, pie press, dough divider, ware washer machine and digital/manual scales. We are looking for a full-time Production Baker II to help the production team with prepared dough and ingredients to produce products to be baked and to assist with packaging. The hours for this position are 7AM to early afternoon upon completion of the daily production schedule, typically Monday to Friday and Saturdays as required for increased production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing all baked good items according to standards with speed and consistency of quality
- Assisting in all aspects of the process including mixing and baking with ability to operate commercial bakery equipment
- Ability to pipe and decorate desserts
- Packaging baked goods for either retail or wholesale distribution in a secure, neat and presentable manner
- Helping inspect baked goods for quality
- Working as a team with other coworkers to ensure efficiency
- Using safe food handling procedures
- Minimizing waste
- Ensuring that all work areas remain clean and organized
- Ensuring that all food products are stored properly
- Completing other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Prior bakery or food service required with a minimum of two years of experience
- Ability to follow instruction and pay attention to detail
- Monday to Saturday availability early AM to PM schedule
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced bakery environment
- Ability to be constantly on your feet working in a high-energy environment
- Must be able to work in a team oriented environment
