Job Description
Position Summary The Accounting and Cost Control Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing financial aspects of manufacturing operations. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost accounting principles, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for business decision-making. This position is responsible for accurate job costing, regular inventory review, budgeting, and production cost analysis. This role will work closely with the production team to assist with maintaining key financial metrics such as BHR rates and provide mentorship to the accounting team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Track and analyze variances between actual and standard costs within ERP and job costing software
- Collaborate with other departments to improve cost control measures and improve current procedures
- Analyze production costs and prepare detailed cost reports
- Monitor BHR rates in conjunction with Production department
- Prepare and monitor budgets and forecasts for manufacturing operations in collaboration with Operations team
- Assist with preparing entity level budget and holding monthly cost center review meetings
- Oversee inventory valuations and cycle count process
- Guide and mentor accounting team
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
- Review monthly financial statements and reports for management
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
- Other job duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Prior Experience with Cost Accounting
- Prior usage of LabelTraxx and/or Radius (preferred)
- Master's degree (preferred)
- Prior supervisory experience
- Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated system
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Office
- Excellent time management skills
- Professional, flexible, ability to work independently and be a positive team player
- Ability to learn new technologies
- Proficient typing skills
Salary : $115,000 - $125,000
