Job Summary:
Thomas Erie, Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in our production processes. This role will lead and support production teams, drive continuous improvement, and maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet quality and efficiency standards.
- Lead, train, and mentor production team members to maximize performance and professional development.
- Ensure adherence to all safety policies, including proper machine operation and PPE compliance.
- Monitor production schedules and workflows, making necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and address any disciplinary concerns.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, employee attendance, and safety incidents.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including OSHA and company-specific quality standards.
- Foster a team-oriented work environment that promotes respect, accountability, and communication.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Understanding of OSHA safety regulations and best practices.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced manufacturing facility with exposure to loud noise, heavy machinery, and moving parts.
- Frequent standing, bending, and lifting required throughout the shift.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
