COMMUNITY OUTREACH SPECIALIST
POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Outreach Specialist will be responsible for canvassing local neighborhoods, engaging with potential clients, and booking appointments for sales representatives to discuss fencing options and solutions. This role is essential in driving customer awareness and generating leads through proactive community outreach. The specialist will represent the company professionally, build rapport with homeowners, and schedule in-home consultations to support the growth of the business within a designated territory. This is a 3-month contract position with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time role at Thomas Fence based on performance and business needs.

OBJECTIVES
Identify and canvas target neighborhoods to generate interest in fencing products and services.
Engage potential clients through door-to-door outreach, introducing the benefits of quality fencing and available installation options.
Schedule appointments for sales representatives to follow up on interested leads and provide detailed consultations.
Achieve weekly and monthly lead generation and appointment-setting targets to support sales team objectives.
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with homeowners, addressing basic questions about products and services.
Record and organize all lead information accurately in the CRM or tracking software, ensuring seamless handoff to the sales team.
Effectively communicate company offerings and promotional information to generate homeowner interest.
Report daily and weekly outreach activity, providing updates on areas canvassed and lead engagement rates.
Conduct follow-up calls or visits with leads who show initial interest but may need additional engagement to book an appointment.
Attend occasional team meetings and training sessions to remain aligned with the company's goals and best practices.
Be adaptable to adjust outreach approaches based on homeowner feedback and community-specific factors.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training is a plus.
1-2 years of experience in sales, door-to-door canvassing, lead generation, or community outreach preferred.
Familiarity with customer engagement in home improvement or similar industries is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regular walking, standing, and moving between properties to engage with homeowners.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to carry basic materials such as brochures, flyers, and scheduling tools.
Physical endurance for extended periods of canvassing within designated neighborhoods.
