What are the responsibilities and job description for the Import Clerk position at THOMAS Freight?

We are looking for an Entry Writer with 2-4 years of experience in air and ocean imports. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CargoWise and have a solid understanding of U.S. Customs regulations.

Responsibilities :

Prepare and process import documentation for air and ocean shipments.
Use CargoWise for data entry and tracking of customs entries.
Ensure shipments comply with U.S. Customs regulations.
Coordinate with brokers, importers, and freight forwarders for smooth clearance.
Stay updated on regulatory changes.

Qualifications :

2-4 years’ experience in customs entry writing and import compliance.

Proficient in CargoWise .

Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs rules and procedures.

Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.

Salary - $60-65K
