Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Turfgrass Installation Foreman to join our team. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing and assisting with the installation of turfgrass at various job sites. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, team player, and problem-solver who values integrity and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in the installation of turfgrass at golf courses, sports fields, residential and commercial sites
- Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and safety of multiple pieces of turf installation equipment
- Coordinate daily job plans with the Farm Manager and Logistics Coordinator
- Communicate effectively with installation team members and customers to ensure high-quality service
- Serve as a professional representative of the company, maintaining a customer-first approach
- Prepare job sites for turf installation, including layout and logistics
- Frequently tow trailers loaded with turfgrass and equipment
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as needed
- Work flexible hours depending on installation schedules
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class C driver’s license required; CDL is a plus, but not required
- Ability to tow trailers and operate turf installation equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable using technology for scheduling, communication, and job tracking
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in landscaping, turf installation, or agricultural work
- Experience supervising crews or managing job sites
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor work environment in various weather conditions
- Flexible work hours depending on daily installation schedules
- Physically demanding role requiring lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing and manual labor
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
