Job Description:
The Test Systems Product Engineer is responsible for the design, development, safety, and integration of Test Systems that support aircraft electrical systems with secondary emphasis in the fields of Motors, Electronic Controllers, and Electro-Mechanical Actuation, and Manufacturing processes. The Test Systems Engineer must be able to read, interpret, and create requirements documents, test plans and procedures, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Knowledge
A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
Working knowledge of Project Management Planning (PMP) to include Cost and schedule experience.
Design, automate, and maintain test equipment used for Engineering Design Test Verification, Qualification Validation, and Manufacturing Product Validation
Experience in design, build, integration, validation, sell-off, and post sell-off anomaly investigation.
Develop requirements, specifications, plans, procedures, and reports for test system development and product qualification, verification, and validation
Working knowledge and experience in mechanical/electro-mechanical systems and the applications of electro-hydraulic components.
Experience in providing Test Equipment Specifications and guidance for test equipment developed by subcontractor partners.
Proven capability for troubleshooting mechanical, eletronic, software assemblies.
Work in a cross-functional, agile team that includes Systems Engineering, Mechanical Systems, Electrical Systems, Test Systems, Software, and Project Engineering.
Carries out detailed Test Systems design work including 3D modeling, simulation and design verification testing, as required.
Experience in developing and executing Development Tests, Acceptance Tests, Enviromental Stress Screening, and Qualification Testings
Working knowledge of standard work, metrics and continous improvement. (i.e., 5S, Lean Six Sigma, etc)
Working knowledge of military/aerospace design standards/specifications
Working knowledge of root cause and corrective action tools and processes
Skills and Abilities
Ability to lead and manage a Product/Design/Technical teams.
Programming experience in National Instruments Labview & Labwindows/CVI, and HMI Integration
Experience in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) HMI Integration
Willing to perform hands-on evaluation, assembly and troubleshooting of test systems.
Ability to analyze and produce technical reports in support of customer proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements of those designs and applications.
Ability to design and conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, operation, and performance of equipment, components and systems.
Ability to analyze problematic situations, seek relevant data, diagnose information in order to solve problems and generalize alternative methods to identify the best possible solution.
Ability to effectively interface with customers, team members and individuals in technical discussions and solutions.

Experience
2-12 year of experience in electrical systems and/or electro-mechanical desired but not required. Experience in industrial and other related backgrounds will be considered.
