THE ROLE: Responsible for overseeing the efficient planning, coordination, and execution of all logistics activities on construction projects, ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of materials, equipment, and personnel.

Day In The Life

• Develop and implement logistics plans for construction projects, considering factors like site layout, material requirements, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth material flow and delivery schedules.
• Optimize the transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel to minimize delays and costs.
• Manage inventory levels and storage requirements, ensuring materials are readily available when needed
• Supervise the loading, unloading, storage, and transportation of materials and equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Manage site access and traffic flow, and parking to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments to the logistics plan as needed to address unforeseen issues or changes.
• Track material costs and ensure that logistics activities are within budget.
• Monitor trade partner performance and address any issues that may arise.
• Identify and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the logistics planning.
• Ensure that all logistics activities comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify any safety hazards.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans to address potential incidents.
• Develop strong relationships with all involved agencies to ensure strict policy compliance
• Work closely with all operations teams to ensure coordination and collaboration on material delivery needs across all active projects.
• Motivate and support staff to achieve project goals and maintain a positive work environment
  
  

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in construction logistics or a similar field.

• Strong understanding of construction processes, material handling, transportation, and warehousing.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
