THE ROLE : The Corporate Finance Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the build out and maintenance of both the near and long term financial forecast and three statement model. This role will lead the development of new reports and processes as it relates to the corporate finance function and ad hoc reporting. This role will serve as a key player working across the Thomas James organization to bring visibility and insights into existing portfolio of assets and driving actionable insights.

DAY IN THE LIFE :

Highly proficient in Excel with ability to learn / use company forecasting tools such as Vena. Must have the ability to manipulate data quickly and effectively for Ad Hoc analysis

Assist with maintenance of near and long-term financial forecasts working closely with Corporate Finance team.

Assist Corporate team in preparation of monthly forecast process as well as annual business plan process and various scenario analysis.

Prepare monthly consolidation of division level both P&L and cost reporting Gross Margin and various cost categories such as, Land Development, Purchasing, Construction, and On-Site departments and highlight areas of concern for team members to focus on cost controls.

Assist in building thoughtful reports out of Vena for better visibility for team members at both the consolidated and division level.

Work with division team members to maintain accuracy of information feeding the Vena forecast model around current home prices, costs, and projected closing dates, etc. Report slippage up to Corporate team to address with divisions if issues and take corrective steps.

Analyze costs related to P&L Accounts

Assist all Corporate Finance in preparing reports, establishing processes, streamlining procedures, and promote continual process improvements.

Ad-hoc reporting as needed

Support requirements for Board meetings including presentation materials, and analysis.

Is responsive to deadlines and timing needs placed upon company from owners, lenders, and others, as necessary.

Brings highly disciplined organization to financial scenarios and version control and tracking of history of external communications.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED :

2 years in an FP&A, Public Accounting, Investment Banking, or equivalent is required

Bachelor's Degree with a focus in finance and / or accounting is required; completion of investment banking or other training program in finance, accounting and modeling is preferred.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel

The compensation range for this role is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
