Full-time pharmacy technician position in the compounding pharmacy of Jefferson Home Infusion Service, the home infusion provider for Jefferson Health.Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform sterile compounding for an operation compounding approximately 10,000 doses per month. Therapies include total parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, chemotherapy, antiemetics, immunoglobulins, pain management, and other miscellaneous therapies.
Prepare and stage items for compounding and appropriately label completed items.
Order, receive, and restock all related medications and supplies used in the compounding process.
Participate in quality assurance and environmental monitoring programs.
Participate on committees within the organization.
Clean room/compounding experience preferred, not required
1 years of previous hospital pharmacy technician experience preferred but not required.
Education & Training:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
