Assists Department Chairman and Department Administrator with day-to-day operation of the Department.
Manages calendars and appointments for Department Chair and Administrator(s)
Coordinates use and reimbursement of CME funds.
FPPE for Staff Appts / OPPE every 6 months.
Responsible for reappointment of attending physicians.
Physician time studies and Medicare reporting to fiscal departments.
Coordinate department events, projects, and reports.
Oversees Special Purpose Fund expenses.
Chair correspondence including letters of reference and recommendations.
Coordinate patient safety program and quality control, database compilation and reporting for department.
Maintains board certification records and CME requirements for physicians.
Staples / supply ordering for department.
Track scholarly activity.
Update and maintain CVs.
Assist residency coordinator as needed.
Job Description
Education :
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates Degree preferred.
Experience :
Proficient in Microsoft Office (including access, Word, Excel and Power Point).
