Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Trauma Data Abstraction Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for abstracting data from trauma patients and submitting it to the Pennsylvania Trauma Outcome Study database.
Key Responsibilities
- Abstract data from trauma patients and submit it to the Pennsylvania Trauma Outcome Study database
- Generate data reports for trauma research
- Participate in Trauma Performance Improvement program initiatives and peer review meetings for trauma center reaccreditation
- Create and distribute daily census to trauma team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
- Working knowledge of ICD-10 diagnostic and procedure coding
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
