Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Interventional Pulmonologist to join our team at Jefferson Bucks Hospital. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and expanding our interventional pulmonary program, providing high-quality care to patients with complex airway diseases and related conditions. Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventional pulmonary procedures, including bronchoscopy (flexible and rigid) and medical thoracoscopy. Conduct outpatient clinics (TBD), initially starting one day per week in the operating room , with the goal of expanding as patient volume grows. Provide inpatient consult services and collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care. Develop and implement a pleural disease service, including a medical thoracoscopy program. Participate in the education and training of residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals. Cover procedures during the vacation times of the main interventional pulmonary program. Work closely with the Director of Interventional Pulmonology to grow the program into a full-time service line. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical research projects. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, demonstrating empathy and compassion. Qualifications: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Board certification in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. Fellowship training in Interventional Pulmonology. Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Pennsylvania. Strong clinical skills and experience in interventional pulmonary procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in developing and growing clinical programs. Academic experience with a track record of teaching and mentoring medical trainees. Participation in clinical research and publication in peer-reviewed journals.
