Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION :
The IT Project Manager oversees and manages projects related to Epic-related implementation projects and other assignments as necessary for Ambulatory, Revenue Cycle, Inpatient and Ancillary Systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Utilizes project management methods, processes, policies, and tools established by the IS&T Program Management Office to manage timelines, resources, and budgets.
- Develops and tracks quality, performance, and usage metrics for the Epic project and systems, and prepares necessary collaterals as appropriate.
- Works closely with the PMO, Epic, and other IS&T leaders and resources to ensure tasks are clearly defined and completed on scope, on budget and on-time, while aggressively managing issues and risks as appropriate.
- Interfaces with other Jefferson Enterprise and Clinical leadership to align the work of the systems groups with the strategic goals of the enterprise.
- Provides recommendations relative to scope, integration, and design decisions to the Epic project leadership.
- Works closely with IS&T and Operations, adhering to planned budgets and forecasts, while providing appropriate documentation for variances and exceptions.
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors and other staff consistent with the iSCORE values of Jefferson.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES :
EDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIREMENTS :
BA / BS in Computer Science, Business or Clinical related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION :
Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and Project Management tools is essential for this position along with outstanding organizational and communication skills and an overall commitment to best practices and procedures.
