Provide high level financial support and reporting for Enterprise, JMG and Department leadership as it relates to the Cardiac Surgery Service line. Responsible for the oversight of investments, programs and special projects to ensure target achievement. Physician targets and departmental budgeting should be understood and reported on frequently. Well versed in clinical, academic and research pillars, capital budgets and mission-based budgets for Hospital, College, Special Purpose, Sponsored Research and Jefferson University Physician Accounts.Job Description
* Integrate and monitor financial and operational reporting across the cardiac surgical service line(s)
* Collaborate with JMG finance administration and the enterprise service line to continuously monitor, adjust, and report on departmental performance
* Support proforma and business plan development and monitoring. Routinely report to chair, administrator, and service line leader on investment return
* Work with operational leaders to elevate financial acumen and the impact of operations on departmental sustainability
* Analyze trends and proactively communicate opportunities or impacts that will effect overall service line performance
* Accelerate departmental integration across surgical departments in different divisions, develop alignment in practice and reporting functions
* Develop budgets using dynamic inputs that span the continuum of care, acknowledging the upstream and downstream impact of professional activity and hospital based activity
* Support the finance functions of the department of cardiac surgery, including the development and mentorship of financial analyst staff
* Good understanding of all pillars - academic, clinical, innovation, research, corporate
* Converts the faculty effort report to determine how to spread their budget compensation by mission.
