The Strategic Communications & Events Coordinator at Thomas Jefferson University is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and reporting on enrollment marketing strategies and tactics, events and communication plans for the undergraduate and graduate enrollment portfolios (approximately 200 academic programs) across all Jefferson campus locations (Center City, East Falls, Dixon, Voorhees and JIB). The Coordinator will utilize both traditional and experimental strategies to promote the Jefferson brand and increase enrollment of qualified students.Job Description
Essential Functions
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
- Communication Plan Development: implement and assess complex communication plans that encourage funnel conversion. Communication plans will utilize all available communication platforms and mediums (print, electronic, text messaging, digital and social media) and account for a complex set of needs across diverse application pools. Monitor the results of email campaigns using A/B testing and analytical data to implement changes for improvement.
- Event Design & Management: the incumbent will design and manage an assigned event and visit portfolio with the goal of providing guests with a positive and memorable experience. The portfolio will encompass on-campus and virtual events.
- CRM (Slate by Technolutions): build communications including the creation and editing of content, updating HTML in emails templates, building and updating translation tables and content blocks. Utilize Deliver, Content Blocks, Translation Tables, Rules, Populations, Slate Print, Events, Scheduler, Ping, Portals and Forms on a regular basis. Develop queries and reports to monitor campaign and event performance. Stay up-to-date on Slate enhancements and new features as continuous learning and platform curiosity is required.
- Asset Development & Management: develop and manage assets in collaboration with key strategy partners that will be used to generate demand for the University's academic programs (website, print, email, digital, video, etc.). Ensure that Jefferson Enrollment Management efforts promote and protect the Jefferson brand.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required):
- Technical Background: HTML coding and development knowledge is strongly preferred
- Client Services: the incumbent will interact and collaborate on a regular basis with internal clients within Enrollment Management, administrative partners and a wide-range of external vendors.
- Creative Services & Content Generation: the incumbent will work directly with University Marketing colleagues to provide direction on assets (email, print, digital, video, web and event assets) that directly impact University enrollment goals.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, User Experience or Higher Education Leadership/Administration is required.
AND
Experience:
- 0 years of professional experience, 0 years of management/leadership experience is required
- Experience in an undergraduate and/or graduate admissions office is strongly preferred
- Experience using Slate by Technolutions experience is preferred
Additional Information
- Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) is required
