Your Role
As a Payroll Specialist, you will be an essential part of our payroll team, ensuring our employees are compensated accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with payroll regulations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing payroll data entry, processing, and audits for weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycles
- Collaborating with Human Resources to review employee records and ensure payroll accuracy
- Verifying timekeeping records and securing necessary approvals from leadership
- Handling payroll tax filings, employee deductions, and wage attachments (garnishments, child support, etc.)
- Preparing payroll reports and journal entries for the accounting system
- Processing manual checks and expense reports as needed
- Ensuring compliance with federal and state payroll laws while upholding confidentiality
Who You Are
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive professional with:
- Experience in payroll processing, ideally in hospitality or a fast-paced, multi-location environment
- Familiarity with payroll software and HRIS platforms, preferably ADP TotalSource
- A strong grasp of federal and state payroll laws and compliance standards
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with discretion
