Role Overview:

The Service Writer is a crucial part of the customer experience. They are responsible for greeting customers, diagnosing vehicle issues, communicating with technicians, and keeping customers updated throughout the repair or service process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relations: Establish positive relationships, address customer needs, and enhance satisfaction.
  • Communication: Act as the link between customers and technicians, providing clear instructions to the team.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Keep track of vehicle progress, update customers regularly, and manage technicians’ time and work.
  • Sales and Profitability: Maximize sales opportunities and implement retail promotions to increase profitability.
  • Quality Control: Ensure repairs meet company standards and complete necessary quality checks.
  • Process Improvement: Help develop and document standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Language Skills: Spanish-speaking is a plus.
  • Driver’s License: Must have a valid commercial driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Experience and Training: Automotive service advisor experience is preferred; must be trained in customer service, advisor skills, and quality control.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to speak and write English fluently, as well as handle interruptions effectively.
