Your Impact
The Patient Service Team Member / Grab & Go Driver is responsible for delivering excellent food service to patients and staff at a hospital or surgery center. This role involves taking patient meal orders, ensuring accurate food delivery, stocking and maintaining Grab & Go stations, and assisting with catering services. The position requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, the role involves driving company vehicles for food transportation and adhering to safety and sanitation standards. A flexible, positive attitude is key to ensuring patient and staff satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take patient meal orders and deliver food to patients, ensuring accurate and timely service.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to safety and sanitation standards.
- Stock and track food items at various locations (e.g., Doctor’s Lounge, PACU, TVH Surgery Center).
- Build and stock Grab & Go items and drive the company vehicle to transport items to and from the Surgery Center.
- Assist with catering tasks, including menu review, event setup, and food delivery.
- Provide customer service, respond to service requests, and maintain a positive attitude towards patients and staff.
- Adhere to sanitation procedures, complete closing checklists, and maintain cleanliness in work areas.
- Work with other departments to ensure smooth operations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver license.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- ServSafe or State Food Handlers card required.
- Great customer service skills with a positive attitude
- Experience in food service or related field preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks (lifting up to 50 pounds).
- Be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift at least 50 pounds, and operate kitchen equipment safely.
- Must maintain professional appearance and adhere to safety protocols.
