JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for ensuring all equipment is in READY TO RENT condition. This position will oversee all aspects of rental.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help collaborate with the Yard Manager, Field Managers and Operations Manager on what jobs we have coming up and if we have the correct number of hoses and equipment for the job.
- Responsible for staging/loading up jobs when no field techs/supervisors are in the yard. “This will allow us to become more efficient and help reduce over time hours.”
- Responsible for keeping an accurate inventory of what is always in the yard.
- Responsible for ensuring all equipment has the correct asset number. “If no number, will work with Yard Manager on getting correct number.”
- Responsible for assigning asset numbers of equipment for upcoming jobs, to assist in creating rental contracts with Shepherd.
- Ensure all equipment has been painted, proper stickering, caps, plugs, grounding materials and is 100% job ready.
- Must be flexible and realize that your daily job scopes are always subject to change.
- Responsible for checking every truck and trailer that leaves the yard. I.E. correct GVWR, DOT inspection up to date, brakes working etc…
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3 years previous experience in a similar role required
- Strong customer service background required.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Must be self-motivated and able to direct one’s own work
- Must be able to use general office equipment (phone, copier, fax machine, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must have the ability to “problem solve” as unusual circumstances occur.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Conduct training as needed
- Must demonstrate the ability to be a high performing team player
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to continuously stand & walk
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Frequently push & pull
- Occasionally bend & stoop
- Requires repeated heavy lifting of up to 75 lbs
- Working outside in variable weather conditions to include heat, humidity, cold & wind.
