JOB SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, supervising the drivers and logistical elements of the business, and providing support to the Sales and Operations Teams of TSD and its sister companies, customers, and stakeholders, the Warehouse Manager’s duties include the following:

Warehouse Operations

Ensures the warehouse(s) and yard(s) are operating at optimal functionality by incorporating the following principals:

• Safety is a priority.  At all times adhering to existing safety processes and being a contributing manager towards developing and enforcement of best practices to ensure an injury-free work environment.  This includes racking and retrieval of product, forklift operations, and traffic flow of people and machinery.
• Develops and implements effective warehouse practices, including item labeling; rack, bin, and yard management; cleanliness; inventory rotation; adoption and maintenance of the bar-coding system; security, and efficient receiving and fulfillment processes.
• Supervises the drivers and delivery operations to meet customer and business needs while maintaining efficiency and cost control.
• Supervises the hose crimping and storage operations to optimize having the right products available at the highest quality.
• Oversees all 3^rd party shipping activity.

Inventory Management

• Interfaces with the ERP system to ensure that all movement of products is properly recorded in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensures that each order is accurately fulfilled.
• Assists with supporting the overall item maintenance in the system.
• Supports and trains personnel to understand the steps involved in fulfillment, optimization of stock, and accurate controls.
• Performs daily and weekly cycle counts to validate that the controls are operating properly, and the system reflects the right quantities on hand.
• Helps coordinate any necessary special or comprehensive inventory counts and assists with reconciling any variances discovered.
• Evaluates and negotiates shipping methods, timing, and cost.
• Coordinates with purchasing and inside sales to ensure product replenishment processes are fulfilled.
• Develops and distributes reporting to inform other managers and provides feedback to identify product issues and any gaps in processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years’ experience as a Warehouse Manager or at an equivalent level of responsibility supporting a distribution-oriented business.
• HS diploma or equivalent
• Valid US Driver License 
• Forklift Safety certification
• Able to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and hours outside of that as needed, including occasional travel to operations facilities in Texas.
• Experience with an ERP or inventory control system supporting a multi-site organization
• English language proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail orientation with equally strong organizational skills, including multi-tasking and demonstrated problem-solving
• Self-starter with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate internally and externally, and in sometimes challenging situations, while maintaining a professional demeanor and customer service orientation
• Able to successfully complete all required pre-hire tests and verifications to include pre-employment drug testing, reference & criminal background checks and MVR review

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of servicing oil well drilling sites
• Previous experience in oil/gas, trucking, manufacturing or other heavy-industrial environment
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
