What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Runner position at Thomas Oilfield Services?
Works under direct supervision and follows established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. Performs minor repairs and limited preventive maintenance (PM) on assigned equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following tasks.
General Description of Position: Help ensure our mechanics and projects have what they need to keep our equipment and vehicles running
Pick up and transport parts/shipments from vendors to different job sites and other locations
Communicate delays in parts deliveries that may affect shop work. orders/scheduling
Order and deliver routine parts and equipment for basic shop function and maintenance requirements
Will be held responsible for all parts transported
Other duties as assigned by the Foreman
Specific Equipment and Materials to be used: Operate small/medium/large power tools
The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat
The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; and high and/ or precarious places
This job has no supervisory duties.
Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A. Education and Experience
- Education: Not required.
- Experience: Prior work experience with PM’s, oil changes, and general maintenance strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and must have a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Successfully complete pre-employment drug screen and physical.
- None required.
- Previous oilfield experience
- Forklift operator experience
- Spanish/English bi-lingual
