Thomas Printworks is searching for a talented individual to work in our Operations team. The successful candidate will be a multitasker and possess the ability to meet deadlines. This is a Prepress Operator position based out of our Austin, TX location.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for producing high-quality color print documents according to customer specifications. Prepares files for print, utilizing Flatbed Printers and Routers.
- Sets up electronic files for print.
- Contacts clients for specifications on work orders.
- Performs design and color corrections when necessary utilizing RIP software.
- Operates and maintains reprographics machinery such as color printers and copiers.
- Sends finalized prints to the appropriate printer utilizing RIP software.
- Mounting and finishing jobs
- Trims and finishes completed prints as necessary.
- Inspects finished prints for defects, such as dust and smudges, and removes defects.
- Facilitates quality control in the color digital process.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Gathers organizes and wraps completed work for delivery to customer or next department.
- Completes paperwork for the billing process.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends (as needed)

- Keep work area clean and secure
- Ensure safety guidelines are followed
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required)
- Strong customer service skills
- Minimum of 5 years Prepress experience
- Adobe Creative Suite proficiency, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat
- Detail-oriented and multi-tasking ability
- Computer proficiency
- Basic math skills
- Ability to maintain an orderly workflow and prioritize assignments
