Thomas Pump & Machinery is currently looking for a Field Service Pump Mechanic. With more than 30 years of pump manufacturing and distribution experience, our growing team consists of more than 45 employees and 2 company-owned branches. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Dissembles and reassembles a variety of pumps; Inspects, diagnose, and performs major and/or minor repair work, preventative maintenance, and routine maintenance on motors, pumps, hydraulic equipment, compressors, controls, and related equipment;
- Inspects, adjusts and replaces necessary units and related parts in the performance of repair and maintenance work; Maintains records, prepares reports and other specialized maintenance records of equipment and mechanical equipment;
- Diagnosis mechanical devices;
- Performs or assists on service calls/field work as required; Must be willing to work after hours and perform field service work with no notice, On-call is required;
- Dismantle devices to remove, repair, clean, lubricate, and/or replace defective parts;
- Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections;
- Perform inspections on used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements; Must be able to use precision measuring tools;
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical panel; Adjust and program control panels and controls;
- Operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts;
