What are the responsibilities and job description for the AV Technician position at Thomas & Ross Solutions?
Routine Tasks:
- Daily checkups of AV equipment in exhibits.
- Setup AV for classrooms, meetings, staff training, video conferences, and other events.
- Support for theater events, including audio adjustments, live-streaming, and camera setups.
- Help with exhibit installations and transitions.
On-demand Tasks:
- Setup and support for special events, including video conferences and streaming.
- Support with recording and editing video/audio.
- Occasionally assist with AV contractors for events.
Technologies Used:
- The Museum uses a variety of AV equipment, such as projectors, audio consoles, video switchers, wireless systems, and control systems in its theaters, conference rooms, and exhibits.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.50 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Experience:
- AV: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- CTS-D certification or equivalent (Preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Washington, DC 20042 (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Washington, DC 20042: Relocate before starting work (Required)
Willingness to travel:
- 25% (Preferred)
