CNC Machinist Level III

Overview

The CNC Machinist Level III plays a crucial role in our organization by setting up and operating various CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts. This role is essential in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to understand product specifications
• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines
• Perform quality control checks using precision measuring instruments
• Monitor the production process to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards
• Modify CNC programs to enhance efficiency and quality
• Collaborate with engineering and programming teams to optimize machining processes
• Inspect and maintain machine tools and equipment
• Troubleshoot machine and tooling problems to minimize downtime
• Document and record production data and maintenance activities
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
  
  

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred
• Proven experience as a CNC machinist, with expertise in setting up and operating various CNC machines
• Proficiency in CNC programming and G-code interpretation
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings
• Strong knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, and feeds
• Experience in performing precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Adherence to safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment
