Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand product specifications
- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines
- Perform quality control checks using precision measuring instruments
- Monitor the production process to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards
- Modify CNC programs to enhance efficiency and quality
- Collaborate with engineering and programming teams to optimize machining processes
- Inspect and maintain machine tools and equipment
- Troubleshoot machine and tooling problems to minimize downtime
- Document and record production data and maintenance activities
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred
- Proven experience as a CNC machinist, with expertise in setting up and operating various CNC machines
- Proficiency in CNC programming and G-code interpretation
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings
- Strong knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, and feeds
- Experience in performing precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Adherence to safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment
