Qualifications:
- Must be licensed as a Special Education teacher - Moderate Disabilities with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
- SEI Endorsement Required
- Must hold a bachelor's degree or higher.
General Duties:
Guides and evaluates the learning experience of the students in her/his classes and accepts responsibility for activities of students within her/his purview within the school building or on the school grounds.
Specific Duties:
- Provides differentiated curriculum instruction to students
- Participates in faculty meetings and workshops
- Provides, when necessary, instructional help outside the regular student day within bounds established by the collective bargaining agreement
- Participates in curriculum planning and professional development activities
- Prepares records and reports as required
- Provides for the care and protection of school property
- Keeps records and all books, supplies, and equipment in her/his classroom
- Accepts instructional and non-instructional assignments as provided for in the collective bargaining agreement.
- Executes School Committee policy.
