Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation.
- Assist attorneys in drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents related to Family Law, Patent Law, and Tribal Law Regulations.
- Transcribe legal documents and correspondence with precision to ensure accuracy.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases.
- Prepare trial materials and assist in trial preparation as needed.
- Monitor deadlines for filings and court appearances to ensure compliance with legal procedures.
- Collaborate with the legal team to facilitate smooth operations within the office.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis is essential.
- Strong understanding of litigation processes and familiarity with Family Law, Patent Law, or Tribal Law Regulations is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective client interaction.
