Job Title: Technician
Reports To: Pharmacy Manager
Job Overview: Under pharmacist supervision, a pharmacy technician prepares prescriptions for patients and health professionals.
Duties and Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
- Complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Providing excellent customer service to patients, health care providers, and insurers
- Counting, labeling, and reconstituting prescription medications
- Inputting and retrieving information through the pharmacy system and point-of-sale system
- Obtaining refill authorizations from prescribers
- Processing and preparing third-party insurance claims
- Maintaining accurate patient and client profiles
- Assisting the pharmacist with managing inventory
- Preparing reports related to sales, usage, and inventory
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment, work areas, and shelves
Qualifications and Education:
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Not on the Officer of Inspector General Excluded Parties List
- No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances
- CPhT preferred but not required

- Ability to perform accurately and oversee data entry, dispensing of medications, maintaining proper inventory, patient counseling and other related skills.
