Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Building Commissioning Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a range of technical tasks and providing support across Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems during design, construction, and commissioning phases. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background, strong analytical skills, and a passion for troubleshooting and optimizing system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform technical assessments and diagnostic tests on building systems, ensuring functionality, performance, and compliance with specifications.
- Execute commissioning processes, including functional testing, system calibration, and equipment verification for MEP systems.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system malfunctions and performance issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, contractors, and other technical teams to develop and implement solutions for system optimization and efficiency.
- Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of new systems, as well as modifications to existing systems to enhance performance and meet operational goals.
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of testing, repairs, and commissioning activities in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements during all commissioning activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Building Systems, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools and diagnostic equipment for commissioning tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with troubleshooting and optimizing building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to work independently and in collaborative team settings, effectively managing time and priorities.
- Strong communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and document technical findings clearly.
