What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney position at Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons L.L.P.?
National law firm Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons, LLP seeks an associate attorney with 1 to 7 years' experience in civil litigation to join the new Denver office of the firm. Civil and/or commercial litigation experience, especially in federal courts, is preferred; and previous judicial clerkship experience is strongly preferred. Excellent written advocacy skills and valid Colorado Bar license required.
The associate in this role will work on a variety of civil litigation matters - including defending insurance carriers in complex, multi-party insurance coverage and bad faith litigation; defending architects, engineers, general contractors and subcontractors in construction defect matters; advising and defending employers in various labor and employment cases; and defending transportation, hospitality, real estate and other companies in minor to catastrophic personal injury matters. The associate in this role will gain practical and hands-on experience at every stage of litigation - from the initial advice and counsel phase through trial, arbitration and/or appeal.
