What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Attorney position at Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons L.L.P.?
The Houston office of Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons, LLP seeks an associate attorney with 5-plus years' experience to join the Insurance Coverage and Litigation Section of the firm. Candidates should have strong writing skills and a working knowledge of state and federal civil procedure. Civil litigation experience is preferred, and previous experience defending UM / UIM and first-party property damage cases is strongly preferred. Valid Texas Bar license required.
The Insurance Coverage and Litigation section at Thompson Coe focuses on advising insurance carriers on complex claims, as well as on defending insurance companies in bad faith, breach of contract, indemnity, UM, UIM, property, and coverage lawsuits and declaratory actions. Depending on the size and exposure of the case, the candidate will independently handle the case or work closely with a partner.
