Job Overview:
Thompson Construction Inc. is a Tulsa, Ok based company with a new office in Oklahoma City. We are a leading construction firm specializing in commercial, healthcare, and industrial projects. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Construction Project Managers and Construction Project Managers to lead and manage the execution of construction projects from start to finish. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, with experience in construction estimating, site supervision, and construction site management.
Duties:
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of construction projects, including project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation plans.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards.
- Conduct site visits and monitor project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
- Utilize construction estimating software, such as HeavyBid, to develop accurate estimates for projects.
- Manage and maintain project records, including blueprints, drawings, and other relevant documents.
- Utilize project management tools, to track project progress, identify potential issues, and develop corrective actions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure construction work is completed accurately and in compliance with the project scope.
- Utilize different programs to collaborate with project team members and manage project documents.
- Ensure effective time management, prioritizing tasks and managing project schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
- Identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans as necessary.
- Ensure projects are completed in accordance with the client's requirements, and that all project deliverables meet the required standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager
- Strong knowledge of construction project management principles, practices, and techniques.
- Strong knowledge of construction site management best practices.
- Experience with blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Experience with project management tools is an asset.
