What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Project Manager position at Thompson Engineering?
The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project execution schedule, budget, technical quality, invoicing, accounts receivable, client satisfaction, deliverable output and project closeout. Sr. Project managers must be adept at leading teams, good listeners, organizers, communicators, and managers. They must understand the client and their needs, and be conversant with the discipline leads and partners on the project. They must be able to track the project execution against the requirements and be capable of making adjustments as needed.

As a drilling, materials testing, construction inspection, and chemistry laboratory firm, we supported the engineering and construction industry. Today, Thompson Engineering is known for leadership on projects defining skylines, coastlines, and transportation lines. We support clients in the industrial, commercial, transportation, federal, and municipal markets. While we are still one of the first companies on project sites conducting environmental assessments, land surveys, and geotechnical studies, our design teams are close behind. And our project management and construction management services mean we are often one of the last teams to leave. Minimum Requirements
- Ten years' experience producing projects, including at least five years managing projects. Level of experience is determined by nature and complexity of projects managed.
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, construction management, or a related technical degree is preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
- Good computer skills with minimum Microsoft Office skills and scheduling software skills preferred
