Duties
- Oversee the engineering team, providing guidance and support in the design and development of mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with product management to define project requirements and establish timelines.
- Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed schematics and 3D models for new products.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in existing designs and implement effective solutions.
- Manage data collection processes to inform design decisions and improve product performance.
- Lead the implementation of advanced technologies, including 3D scanning and MATLAB for simulation purposes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovative thinking within the team.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout all engineering processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering with strong knowledge of schematics and design software such as SolidWorks.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to perform data collection and analysis effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Familiarity with 3D scanning technology is advantageous.
- A proactive approach to project management with strong organizational skills.
