Job Description:
This position offers an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Dining Services team at Tougaloo College in Mississippi. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious and nutritious meals for the college community, while also contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook diverse menu items following recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Manage a cooking station, ensuring timely ingredient preparation and minimizing waste.
- Monitor food quality, adjust as needed, and maintain a clean workspace.
- Assist in inventory control, reporting shortages, and collaborating with the kitchen team and chefs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a line cook or similar role in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural setting.
