This position is available to start immediately and will be a part of a new restaurant relaunch this summer. The 3-meal dining venue includes an expanded 1-acre pool deck serving hotel guests and residents, luxury cabanas, private event spaces, indoor-outdoor dining areas and the best views of downtown. An intermediate line cook requires good communication and culinary skills. The desired cook candidate will have hotel cooking experience and a culinary degree. An intermediate cook should have a professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures.
The Cook 2 actively handles the preparation of braised food, grilling, broiling, blanching, cooking, and saut items. Candidate should have professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures, and should be able to work single-stations in the kitchen. Additional responsibilities include preparing daily specials, checking the quality of finished food products, ensuring efficient preparation methods and procedures on a daily basis, receiving products from the storeroom, and supporting Cook 1's training and development.
