About the Role
This key role requires strong project management skills, team leadership expertise, and a commitment to quality assurance and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all tool build projects, establishing timelines and ensuring on-time delivery using Gantt charts or project management software.
- Cultivate relationships with sales, customers, and design teams to maintain clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Anticipate and mitigate potential roadblocks to maintain project momentum.
Team Supervision & Development
As a Project Manager and Team Supervisor, you'll foster a collaborative environment, guiding and supporting a team of skilled tool and die makers, machinists, and CNC operators.
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching for continuous improvement.
Quality & Process Improvement
You'll be accountable for ensuring all tools and dies meet design specifications and quality standards, utilizing inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
- Develop and implement quality control measures, working closely with the Quality Supervisor to enhance production processes.
- Streamline processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
Scheduling & Resource Management
As a vital member of our team, you'll effectively manage resources, such as materials, equipment, and tooling, to optimize production and minimize waste.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including the use of Gantt charts or similar systems.
- Strong technical skills in tool and die making, machining, and CNC operations.
- Experience with Mastercam or similar CAD software and ability to read CAD drawings.
