As a Project Coordinator at Thompson Solutions Group, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our project management and service teams to ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. In this role, you will help manage the flow of project-related information, assist with administrative tasks, and step in to support field leaders when the Project Manager is unavailable. You’ll be an essential part of the team, making sure projects stay on track and clients are satisfied.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the paperwork flow for projects—coordinate as-builts, submittals, maintenance manuals, and shop drawings.
- Help organize and attend key meetings, including pre-planning, pre-bid, and job bid meetings, stepping in for the Project Manager when needed.
- Assist with project estimates, scheduling, change orders, take-offs, and project close-outs.
- Keep project schedules up to date, and help procure necessary materials and equipment.
- Be the point of contact for clients and field leaders, ensuring their needs are met and communication flows smoothly.
- Take ownership of small projects and help drive them to completion.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in construction, engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, a high school diploma with at least two years of experience in construction or electrical fields.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting floor plans, blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Strong communication skills—written and verbal—allowing you to engage with co-workers, field teams, and customers effectively.
- Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to pick up new software quickly.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- The drive to continuously improve processes and contribute to the success of our projects.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to job sites and off-site meetings.
