POSITION OVERVIEW
Thompson Truck Group is currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Parts Outside Sales Representative. In this role you will have the opportunity to:
· Service existing accounts and communicate with clients on a regular basis.
· Follow up on orders to ensure that customers are served promptly.
· Discuss use and features of various parts.
· Prospect for new customers.
· Coordinate parts sales with the appropriate personnel.
· Advise counterperson on delivery instructions.
· Assist in delivering and picking up parts and cores as needed.
· Participate in annual inventory.
· Keep current on new products and product updates.
· Participate in all training programs made available.
· Keep an accurate record in CRM of all sales calls made.
· Follow up on sales calls logged into CRM.
· Any other parts department duties
Individuals who are successful in this role are team players with a strong commitment to customer service, have a willingness to learn about new products and product updates and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
POSITION MINIMUM & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Minimum 1-year prior customer service experience
· Basic computer knowledge to include Microsoft Office and Outlook
· Parts computer management applications experience preferred
· Ability to work a flexible schedule to include some weekends and evenings
· Standing for long periods of time, kneeling, reaching and team lifting up to 150 pounds
