Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Key Account Manager for a local manufacturing client in Emooria, VA.
JOB SUMMARY : The Transportation Key Account Manager (“KAM”) is a self- motivated associate with outgoing personality with experience in customer service and order management. Reporting to the Transportation Head of Sales, the KAM is the main interface between customer projects in serial production and company's Operations team (Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain Management, etc.). The KAM will have to manage multiple accounts and projects, collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure the customers' expectation are satisfied. We are looking for a Customer Centric and an organized individual to represent company in the Transportation market space.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Relations Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Key Accounts
- Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients
- Develop a deep understanding of the client's business goals and challenges
- Problem resolution
- Address client concerns and ensure the resolution of issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet client expectations
- Follow up on requests for response until closure
- Manage meetings and communication cadences with clients
- Manager RFQ / BID process from quote request unit completion and submitting per company RFQ procedure
- Ensure Bids / Orders are processed on time
- Follow up with customer post quote and manage RFQ / Bid win / Bid Lost log
Issue PO
Initiate and manage PO review process by company procedureReview T&Cs / prices to match quoteSend PO to customerPost Awrad
Confirm PO to customer after internal approval process is completedOperate within client's specific portalsData Entry
Enter new PO's into M3 systemCreate COs in M3 and MO'sVerify all stakeholders are notified on new CO / PO entryEnsure data integrity in M3 - updated and posted properly into the systemCRM Custodian
Manage and maintain CRM systemReporting
Prepare regular reports on account status and sales performancePublish weekly delivery performance based on 3-month lookout and past due to managementPublish bi-monthly deck with Transportation sales pipeline and activityManage all marketing ERP reports (i.e. : E02, E03, E46Prepare management sales reports / decks as neededMaintain the marketing report (E01) on daily basis for accuracy (verify that all customers and PO's are in the system within max 48 hours from receiving PO)Maintain list in Movex matching company PN to Customer PNMaintain and record data for sales within the Contract Review LogRMA / DM and Warranty
Facilitate communication between client and company QA department regarding RMAsManage reconciling process of all warranty claims and DMs on a weekly basisVerify RMA closure between company / clientsCompany is getting paid for all non-warranty claims by the customerCompany is replacing units under warrantyCollaboration
Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development to ensure client satisfactionCoordinate with other account managers to align the best practices and strategiesLogistics
Verify that all shipments are allocated to the correct CO and shipped to the correct addressFinance
Verify that all invoices are for the correct amount and verify the relevant CO line is closed properly in the systemVerify that all past due CO lines in the order report are invoiced or moved to future datesClose all AR Aging issues with clients and report to financeAnalysis
Analyze client data to identify trends and insightsAnalyze commercial related KPIs and drive continuous improvement across cross functional teamsRequired Experience / Skill Set
Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales or a related field - advantageProven experience as a Key Account Manager or in a similar sales roleAbility to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneouslyProficiency in CRM software / apps and Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PPTService and customer orientated- 10 years minimum working in customer serviceExperience with ERP systems : 10 years minimumThis job is suitable for people that are :
