Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Project Manager for a local manufacturing client in Emooria, VA.
JOB SUMMARY :
The Project Manager for Transportation is responsible for leading projects to success from pre-RFQ / Award to the finished goods. The person in this role must ensure that the project KPI's (time / cost / performance) are being met and maintains open lines of communication with internal / external collaborators. The PM will have to manage multiple accounts and projects which includes assessing various procedures in the production process, including the direct manufacturing facility. We are looking for a self-driven manager who does not mind going the extra mile.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Customer Delivery project Management
- Manage customer PO delivery - end to end
- Work closely with Sales & Marketing and Operations teams to coordinate project management activities such as : materials / equipment / cost, project scope and delivery dates
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all project members
- Ensure standards and requirements of the project are met
- Identify potential risks specific to company projects and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Monitor RM levels in warehouse to satisfy PO requirements
2. Client Support
Schedule and lead vendor / client calls to keep line of communication flowing smoothly, as well as managing internal team member communications including requests, alerts, reminders, etc.Problem resolutionAddress client concerns and ensure the resolution of issues in a timely mannerCollaborate with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet client expectationsFollow up on requests for response until closureManage project management meetings and communication cadences with customersManage customer visits and auditsManage customer service tripsRaw Material Analysis3. RFQ / Pre-AwardTechnical Data CustodianRetrieve solicitation and associated Technical Data Package (TDP) from clientsManage Brand Folders and company Brand FAT reportsManage SOL / RFQ Folder with TDPConduct RFQ / SOL feasibility review and initiate contract review processLaunch Engineering review process and BOM & Labor template preparationsLaunch QA Review process to determine FAT / PCT and all QA testing requirements and associated costsLaunch purchasing RFQ activityInitiate project specific raw materials analysis (such as frames, gaskets, etc.) and quote with procurement based on TDPBid preparationValidate BOM and component pricing is correctVerify proposal quote is within company profit marginsComplete bid template (E07) for VP Marketing reviewManage technical communication with customers in relation to Bids / RFQPost AwardFollow up on PO review process together with KAM.Initiate kickoff meeting with company stakeholders to start the projectManage project tasks and timelines to complete all FAT and testing project deliverables (via SAR weekly meeting or any other necessary format)Verify QA and Production Control requirements for the projectMaintain key Project Management KPIs to manage and review project performances, such as delivery, budget, qualitySupport Customer requests for support and documentationManage FAT reports per customer requirementsSubmit Engineering Change Request RFVs / ModificationsFacilitate technical discussions with clientsData Entry4. Conduct and manage weekly meetings with production control to review open statue reports and past duePrepare project related reports including expenses / profit margin, project letters, recurring reports and CDRLs, as well as maintaining comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.Prepare weekly project reports, plans, progress, issue mitigation and results to Executive Team; responds to inquiries for ongoing and potential projectsVerify customer requirements associated with contracts are in compliance (PFMAS, high risk items, regulations)CollaborationWork closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development to ensure client satisfactionCoordinate with other account managers to align on best practices and strategiesLogisticsVerify that all shipments are allocated to the correct CO and shipped to the correct addressVerify all shipments are on time. Bachelor's degree in science – advantageProven experience in project management - minimum 10 year's experience in multi-tasking project environmentManufacturing experienceProficient in AutoCADProficient in SolidWorks - AdvantageAbility to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneouslyProficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PPTService and customer orientated- 10 years minimum working with customersExperience with ERP systems- 10 years minimumTHIS JOB IS SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE THAT ARE
