To support our growth, ThompsonGas is looking to add to our HR team! We are seeking a HR Business Partner to support our Coastal Plain and Smoky Mountains Regions.
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning company mission, vision, values and business objectives with employees and management. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that increase engagement and retention. As a HR Business Partner, you will have a heavy focus on driving a positive and engaging culture by supporting employee relations, investigations, succession planning, org design, open enrollment, and interviewing. You will ensure that the company's human resources policies and procedures are compliant with local, state, and federal laws, while also promoting positive employee relations and ensuring that employees are treated fairly and with respect.
Responsibilities :
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Conduct weekly meetings with Area Directors and Vice President of Operations to review all employee related matters and strategies.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed / required.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Partner with managers and Talent Acquisition Team on interviewing and identifying top talent for open positions.
- Provide guidance and partnership in onboarding of new employees and promotion transition of current employees, to ensure engagement and proper training.
- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identify training needs for business units and individual coaching / development needs.
- Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Work in partnership with Benefits Team to support annual Open Enrollment process in assigned area; traveling to present benefits options to employees and assisting with questions.
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
