Responsibilities
- Assemble and adjust various types and styles of Guardian Couplings products.
- Test completed parts, inspect parts for quality, and prepare parts for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with Regal Rexnord policies, 6s procedures, and in line with Regal Rexnord core values.
- Review work orders and follow all blueprint instructions for assembly, written or oral.
- Visually check all parts for defects, notifying appropriate supervision of anomalous parts.
- Packs finished assemblies in preparation for production orders to appropriate storage or shipment area.
- Sign off on completed work orders and record scrap count when the work order is completed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year(s) of experience in assembly preferred.
- Accurately read and comprehend material such as blueprints and work instructions.
- Knowledge of and ability to use air tools, power tools, and hand tools.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Ability to carry out tasks that require a sequence of steps usually performed in a particular order.
- Able to effectively communicate and work in a team environment.
- Detail oriented with time management skills.
- Ability to document and record basic information.
- Knowledge of and ability to solve problems that have standard solutions.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
- A 46 hour work week (Monday through Friday).
- Overtime may be required as needed to meet production demands, including working Saturdays.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and stretching.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 35 pounds at a time, including up to 50 pounds with assistance.
